Chronology of our action in Senegal
1999 - Creation of the non profit Association L'Homme et Ie Cheval a Mbour, Senegal (HCMS), Journal Officiel of June 1999 nO 1753.
Aims of the Association: To help young disabled people in their transportation needs, health care, orthopedic equipment" surgery and training.
2003 - HCMS gets a grant from the International Association "Femmes 'Europe" to build the Headquarters in Mbour.
2004 - Building of "La Maison de l'Etudiant Handicape" in the new district Zone Sonatel.
2005 - HCMS decides to build a preschool in the same district on a plot land belonging to the Municipality of Mbour.
- A change of the name of the Association from HCMS to HCMS-CEME: Creer des Ecoles Maternelles Ensemble. Journal Officiel of April 2005 no 1982.
- We present a request to the Mairie of Mbour for the land to be put at the disposal of the Association to build the preschool for 200 children.
- Creation of a public garden where a huge discharge of garbage was a menace to the health of children.
2006 - The Town Council decides unanimously to give the land for the building of "une ecole maternelle municipale".
2007 - Signature of a Partnership Agreement between the HCMS-CEME, the Municipality of Mbour and the Ministry of Public Education.
- We obtain the Building Permit and we get 4 estimates from local building firms.
